About

Lonmay Parish Church was linked with Rathen West Church for 35 years but, after the retirement of the minister 14 years ago, Presbytery decided in 2002 to link Crimond, St Fergus and Lonmay Churches, with all three churches having visiting Ministers and Readers providing pulpit supply.

However, Presbytery realised a tripartite charge was unsuitable and, in 2008, a link was formed between Lonmay with Crimond. It has been a long and challenging time with no minister, but, thanks to the dedication of the Kirk Session, the church has never been closed and all the affiliated organisations have maintained a healthy membership and some have even increased their numbers.

In September 2011, a Locum was appointed. He carries out pastoral duties and funerals, and takes 3 or 4 Sunday Services every month.
